<br />incomc youth exiting from faster care. To datc, there are three foster care clients who
<br />have moved in, and one will be moving in early Septembcr, 2006. These youth receive
<br />full housing subsidies through another program and will receive supportive services as
<br />wcll.

<br />Children/Bui/ding Futures with Women and Children and tenant/landlord counseling descrihed under the
<br />'Decent Housing Goal" arcjll/Jdcd under the "Public Services" category

<br />. The City fundcd six projects (operatcd by five agencics) with CDBG funds -- Building
<br />futures with Womcn and Children (BFWC), Davis Street Family Resource Centcr
<br />(DSrRC), Eden Council for Hope and Opportunity (ECHO), Project Literacy, and
<br />Kecreation Link (Rec Link). Collectively, they provided services to 9,484 low-income
<br />persons. Services ranged from cmergency housing, counscling, job rcadincss and
<br />placemcnt services, casc management and childcare services to literacy and recreation
<br />programs.
<br />
<br />. BFWC's puhllc service activities are reported above already undcr Priority # 5:
<br />"Maintain and improve the current capacity of the housing and shelter system, expanding
<br />transitional and permanent supportive housing, and providing services to homeless
<br />individuals and families, including integrated health carc, employment serviccs and other
<br />sUPPOliive services." (see pages 4-5)

<br />. DSFRCs Family Support Services Program provides food, shelter, clothing, energy
<br />assistance vouchers, motel vouchers, job attainment and retention serviccs, and linkages
<br />to long-tclm assistance such as childcare and health services for low-income families,
<br />individuals, and seniors, and rcduccs the risk of compromising their self..sufficiency.
<br />Also, DSFRC provides essential serviccs such as nutrition education and life skills
<br />
