<br />IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2006-107 <br /> <br />(1221/1455/1851) <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING AGREEMENT BETWEEN CITY OF SAN LEANDRO AND <br />EAST BAY DISCHARGERS AUTHORITY (EBDA) FOR THE USE OF WATER <br />POLLUTION CONTROL PLANT (WPCP) EFFLUENT FOR IRRIGATION ON MONARCH <br />BAY GOLF COURSE <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the East Bay Dischargers Authority ("EBDA") is a Joint Po\vers Authority <br />which owns and operates facilities for the collection, transmission, disinfection and disposal of <br />treated wastewater; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of San Leandro desires to "tap in" to the EBDA pipeline that runs <br />past the Monarch Bay GolfCOlnplex as part of the San Leandro Recycled Water Project; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the San Leandro Recycled Water Project will use the existing EBDA <br />pipeline to convey effluent fron1 the San Leandro Water Pollution Control Plant to the golf <br />course; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, an agreen1ent between the City of San Leandro and EBDA (the <br />"Agreen1ent"), a copy of \vhich is attached, has been presented to this Council; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Council is fanliliar with the contents thereof. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as <br />follows: <br /> <br />That said Agreement is hereby approved and execution thereof is hereby authorized. <br /> <br />Introduced by Councilmen1ber Badger and passed and adopted this 18th day of <br />Septen1ber, 2006 by the following called vote: <br /> <br />Men1bers of the Council: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmenlbers Badger, Grant, Nardine, Santos, Starosciak, Stephens; <br />Mayor Young (7) <br /> <br />NOES: None (0) <br /> <br />ABSENT: None (0) <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />Yvl~~ <br /> <br />Marian Handa, City Clerk <br />
