Mr. Hom <br />echoed the Council's gratitude to the committee members [or their fine work, noting <br />members put in many long hours over many months dealing with some complicated <br />I ssucs. <br /> <br />4. JOINT CITY COUNCIL/SAN LEANDRO REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY PUBLIC <br />HEARINGS <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br />5. PUBLIC COMMENTS <br /> <br />Public Comments are limited to 3 minutes per person. When you address the City Council, <br />you should fill out a speaker card and submit it to the City Clerk so the order of speakers <br />may be determined and an ofllcial record or names and addresses obtained. The public is <br />invited to make comments on Consent Calendar items, or other items of public interest not <br />listed on the Agenda, at this titne. <br /> <br />Kathy Banks, 964 Hutchings Drive, addressed the City Council, stating she had read a news <br />article regarding the State budget cuts to redevelopment and asking if the City will lose <br />redevelopment funds. Ms. Banks expressed concern regarding the high rents in the city and <br />thanked the Council for their elTOlis in the area of alTordable housing. <br /> <br />Mike Rawlis, 964 Hutchings Drive, addressed the City Conncil, noting a recent news article <br />which reported that San Leandro High School's swimming pool is in need of repair. Mr. <br />Rawlis suggested the City work with the School District to make the repairs and open the <br />pool to community use. Mr. Rawlis expressed concern regarding the high cost or home <br />repairs. <br /> <br />John Gonsalves, 744 .Joaquin Avenue, addressed the City Council regarding the proposed <br />increase to the Mayor's salary.
