CITY COUNCIL COMMENTS <br /> <br />Councilmember Santos requested the City Council adjourn its meeting in memory of Kayode <br />Dada-Daodu, the 16-year old San Leandro High School student who drowned off Pomponio <br />State Beach. <br /> <br />Mayor Young requested the meeting also be adjourned in memory of Arthur J. Dowling, the <br />t~lther of Hayward Couneilmember Kevin Dowling, and in memory of Dr. Eleanor Engram, <br />who was a longtime friend 0 f Mayor Young's and who authored many articles and <br />publications on Black family life and culture and her insights on African-American heritage. <br /> <br />Councilmembers also requested adjournment in memory of the seven astronauts of the Space <br />Shuttle Columbia. <br /> <br />11. AD.JOURN <br /> <br />The City Council adjourned its meeting at 10:20 p.m. to Monday, February 10, 2003, for a <br />Work Session at 7:00 p.m. in the South Offices Conference Room, and <br /> <br />.
