Ayes: 6; Noes: 0; Absent: 1 (Nardine)

8. CONSENT CALENDAR

Consent Calendar iten1s are considered for approval by the City Council with one single
action. As described above in Item 7, Amendment of Consent Calendar, the City Council
may relnove items fron1 the Consent Calendar for purposes of presentation or discussion.
Members of the public who have requested to address the Council regarding items remaining
on the Consent Calendar may do so for up to 3 minutes each to a maximum of 5 minutes for
all items. Items listed on the Consent Calendar are deemed to have been read by title.

Public Comments on the Consent Calendar:

Francois Gallo, Creekside Neighborhood Association board member, addressed the City
Council regarding Item 8.K., asking how often the street sweeping will be performed and if
any consideration has been given to the spillover of parked cars onto the side streets on street
sweeping days. Mr. Gallo noted a traffic study was perfonned for the Creekside
neighborhood in the past, and it was determined the number of cars parked on Haas Avenue
was a problem. Part of the problem is attributable to the 98-unit apartment complex and the
parking fees charged to the tenants for parking in the complex.

Mayor Young requested the removal of Item 8.K. to respond to the questions raised by Mr.
Gallo.

Items 8.K., 8.L., and 8.N. were removed from the Consent Calendar to Item 9, Items
Removed from Consent Calendar. Item 8.E. was removed from the agenda and will be
agendized for consideration on April 7, 2003. The remaining items on the Consent
Calendar were approved by the following vote:

M/S/C Santos and Glaze. Ayes: 6; Noes: 0; Absent: 1 (Nardine)

A. Minutes of the Meeting of March 3,2003. Approved as Submitted.
