<br />l\lINUTES Page 2 <br />City of San Leandro City Council, San Leandro Redevelopment Agency and San Leandro Public Financing Authority <br />Joint Meeting-~lay 19,2003 <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />The Mayor and Council made a contribution from the Mayor's Comnlunity Fund to a San <br />Leandro High School program which provides a camping trip for developmentally <br />disabled students. <br /> <br />A. <br /> <br />Presentation of a Plaque from the Mayor and City Council to the Rotary Club of San <br />Leandro in Appreciation of the Donation Used for the Purchase of Two Athletic <br />Scoreboards. <br /> <br />Gav Roberts of the San Leandro Rotary Club accepted the plaque from the Mayor and <br />City Council. Mr. Roberts asked the Council to come up with ideas for a gift the Rotary <br />could present to the City in celebration of the Club's centennial anniversary in two <br />years. <br /> <br />B. Proclamation declaring May 17 - 25, 2003 as "Safe Boating Week" in San Leandro. <br /> <br />Commanders Noml Pennington, Emory Zajac and Dick Folger accepted the "Safe <br />Boating Week" proclamation. Comlllander Folger announced the next Safe Boating <br />class to be held on September 10, 2003 at the Marina Comlllunity Center. <br /> <br />C. Presentation of Resolutions Commending Years of Service on City Boards and <br />Comnlissions. <br /> <br />Resolution Commending Al Padro for his Years of Service on the Planning <br />Commission. (1018) <br /> <br />M/S/C Stephens and Badger. Ayes: 7; Noes: 0 <br /> <br />Resolution COlnlllending Darryl Shields for his Years of Service on the Board of <br />Zoning Adjustments. (1019) <br /> <br />M/S/C Stephens and Badger. Ayes: 7; Noes: 0 <br /> <br />Al Padro and Darryl Shields were present to receive their resolutions. Mr. Shields <br />acknowledged the Planning staff and BZA members for their hard work and <br />professionalism and expressed pride and enjoyment in his service on the BZA. <br /> <br />3. PUBLIC HEARINGS <br /> <br />Public Hearing Comments are limited to 5 minutes per person, subject to adjustment by the <br />Mayor. When you address the City Council, you should fill out a speaker card and submit it <br />to the City Clerk so the order of speakers may be determined and an official record of names <br />and addresses obtained. <br /> <br />A.
