AMENDMENT OF CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> <br />City Council Members or staff have an opportunity at this time to request that an item be <br />ren10ved from the Consent Calendar for the presentation of a staff report or other special <br />consideration. Members of the Public may request, by filing a speaker card, the opportunity <br />to address the City Council regarding items remaining on the Consent Calendar. Items <br />ren1aining on the Consent Calendar will be considered for approval under one motion. <br /> <br />Consent Calendar amended to remove Items 8.1. and 8.L. Items will be considered under ItelTI <br />9. Items Removed fron1 Consent Calendar. <br /> <br />8. CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> <br />Consent Calendar items are considered for approval by the City Council with one single <br />action. As described above in #7, Amendment of Consent Calendar, the City Council may <br />remove items from the Consent Calendar for purposes of presentation or discussion. <br />Members of the public who have requested to address the Council regarding items remaining <br />on the Consent Calendar may do so for up to 3 minutes each to a maximum of 5 minutes for <br />all iten1s. Items listed on the Consent Calendar are deemed to have been read by title. <br /> <br />Public Comments on the Consent Calendar: <br /> <br />Mike Rawlis, 964 Hutchings Drive, addressed the City Council regarding Agenda Item 8.F., <br />inquiring which agencies will participate in the development of the Bay Trail and where it <br />will extend. Mr. Rawlis spoke to the need for emergency phone service along the trail. Mr. <br />Rawlis also spoke regarding Agenda Item 8.G., requesting that after the Marina restrooms are <br />constructed the Council consider building public restrooms along East 14th Street. <br /> <br />City Manager Jermanis noted the San Francisco Bay Trail is a project in which all East Bay <br />cities have been participating. The section of the trail covered by the grant application will <br />extend from the golf course to Neptune Drive and is part of the Marina Connections Plan. <br />Restroom facilities are provided at City-owned facilities, but the City has not looked into the <br />feasibility of providing public restrooms on city streets. <br /> <br />Items 8.J. and 8.L. were removed from the Consent Calendar to Item 9. Items Removed <br />from Consent Calendar. The remaining items on the Consent Calendar were approved <br />by the follo\ving vote: <br /> <br />M/S/C Santos and Badger.
