<br />l\HNUTES <br />City of San Leandro City Council and San Leandro Redevelopment Agency Joint Meeting-June 2, 2003 <br /> <br />Page 8 <br /> <br />the BART station. Mr. Maples stated he is interested in creating a mixed-use transit-oriented <br />community and would like Council's direction. <br /> <br />Harold Perez, 2052 Vestal Court, addressed the City Council, expressIng concerns <br />regarding water pollution in the Bay. <br /> <br />6. CITY MANAGER AND CITY ATTORNEY REPORTS AND COMMENTS <br /> <br />City Manager J ermanis stated he and Community Development Director Horn met with Mr. <br />Maples regarding his proposed mixed-use development. Mr. Jermanis recommended to the <br />Council that the Trun1ark project follow the normal process via the Planning Commission. <br /> <br />Mr. J ermanis stated the East Bay Dischargers Authority (EBDA), of which the City is a <br />meIuber, is responsible for treating the local water that is discharged into the Bay. He noted <br />the water quality is monitored and meets a very high standard. <br /> <br />7. AMENDMENT OF CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> <br />City Council Members or staff have an opportunity at this time to request that an item be <br />removed from the Consent Calendar for the presentation of a staff report or other special <br />consideration. Members of the Public may request, by filing a speaker card, the opportunity <br />to address the City Council regarding items remaining on the Consent Calendar. Items <br />reIuaining on the Consent Calendar will be considered for approval under one motion. <br /> <br />Consent Calendar was amended to remove Item 8.G. Item will be considered under Item 9. <br />Item Removed from Consent Calendar. <br /> <br />8. CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> <br />Consent Calendar items are considered for approval by the City Council with one single <br />action. As described above in #7, Amendment of Consent Calendar, the City Council may <br />remove itenls from the Consent Calendar for purposes of presentation or discussion. <br />MeIubers of the public who have requested to address the Council regarding items remaining <br />on the Consent Calendar may do so for up to 3 minutes each to a maximum of 5 minutes for <br />all items. Itenls listed on the Consent Calendar are deemed to have been read by title. <br /> <br />Item 8.G. was removed from the Consent Calendar to Item 9. Items Removed from <br />Consent Calendar. The remaining items on the Consent Calendar were approved by <br />the following vote: <br /> <br />M/S/C Santos and Stephens. Ayes: 7; Noes: 0 <br /> <br />A. Minutes of the meeting of May 19, 2003. Approved as Submitted. <br />
