PUBLIC HEARINGS <br /> <br />Public Hearing Comments are limited to 5 minutes per person, subject to adjustment by the <br />Mayor. When you address the City Council, you should fill out a speaker card and submit it <br />to the City Clerk so the order of speakers may be determined and an official record of names <br />and addresses obtained. <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br />4. JOINT CITY COUNCIL/SAN LEANDRO REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY PUBLIC <br />HEARINGS <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br />5. PUBLIC COMMENTS <br /> <br />Comments are limited to 3 minutes per person. The public is invited to <br />make comments on items of public interest NOT listed on the Agenda. <br /> <br />Harold Perez, Davis West Neighborhood Group, addressed the City Council regarding <br />various issues in the West San Leandro area and his interest in having a community meeting <br />to discuss the issues. Mr. Perez asked a question regarding PedEx's interest in occupying the <br />Prescolite building and praised Police Officer Curt Barr for effectively handling a problem in <br />his neighborhood. <br /> <br />6. CITY MANAGER AND CITY ATTORNEY REPORTS AND COMMENTS <br /> <br />City Manager Jermanis complimented Police Chief Kitchen for coordinating a response to the <br />problems on Vestal Court reported by Mr. Perez. Mr. Jermanis mentioned a series of public <br />improvements planned for Doolittle Drive in the near future. He noted the Neptune Drive <br />wetlands area is under close scrutiny by several governmental agencies. Work being <br />performed by the McMahon Group to connect to the City's storm drain system has been <br />approved by permit and will be carefully monitored. Mr. Jermanis commented that the City <br />has not been approached by PedEx regarding the Prescolite building. Regarding the request <br />for community meetings in West San Leandro, Mr. Jermanis noted that Councilmember <br />Santos had brought up the need for public investment in the West San Leandro area. The City <br />
