ITEMS REMOVED FROM CONSENT CALENDAR Public comments are limited to 3 minutes per person per item. 8.A. Minutes of the Meeting of October 20,2003. Councilmen1ber Santos stated he requested the Minutes of the October 20, 2003, meeting be removed frOln the Consent Calendar in order to have the Council reconsider the action taken at the meeting to approve Resolution No. 2003-219 requested by SBC regarding telecommunications services. He expressed interest in changing his vote on the resolution from yes to no. City Attorney Williams stated a motion for reconsideration can only be made by a member on the prevailing side, and the member can request the Council schedule the item for reconsideration at its next meeting. Councilmember Santos agreed to bring up the issue under Council Comments and allow the n1inutes to be approved. Lou Filipovich, 15376 LaVerne Drive, addressed the City Council, pointing out that in his statement under Public Comments in the Minutes of October 20, 2003, he suggested attorney Steve Meyers represent the City at a debate between himself and the Council, as Mr. Meyers has more familiarity with San Leandro City Council history than does City Attorney Williams. Mr. Filipovich expressed concern that he was not allowed to speak on Item 8.F. and that the requests of special interest groups are favored over those of individuals.
