Minutes of the Meeting of October 20,2003. <br /> <br />Councilmen1ber Santos stated he requested the Minutes of the October 20, 2003, <br />meeting be removed frOln the Consent Calendar in order to have the Council reconsider <br />the action taken at the meeting to approve Resolution No. 2003-219 requested by SBC <br />regarding telecommunications services. He expressed interest in changing his vote on <br />the resolution from yes to no. City Attorney Williams stated a motion for <br />reconsideration can only be made by a member on the prevailing side, and the member <br />can request the Council schedule the item for reconsideration at its next meeting. <br />Councilmember Santos agreed to bring up the issue under Council Comments and allow <br />the n1inutes to be approved. <br /> <br />Lou Filipovich, 15376 LaVerne Drive, addressed the City Council, pointing out that in <br />his statement under Public Comments in the Minutes of October 20, 2003, he suggested <br />attorney Steve Meyers represent the City at a debate between himself and the Council, <br />as Mr. Meyers has more familiarity with San Leandro City Council history than does <br />City Attorney Williams. Mr. Filipovich expressed concern that he was not allowed to <br />speak on Item 8.F. and that the requests of special interest groups are favored over those <br />of individuals. <br /> <br />Minutes of the Meeting of October 20,2003.
