Airport Committee Meeting of November 4, 2003. Accepted as submitted. Francois Gallo, NAACSL, addressed the City Council regarding NAACSL's obj ection to the choice of noise consultant. He stated NAACSL supports the City's efforts to look into the new instrument landing system proposed by the Port of Oakland. Mr. Gallo expressed concern that the Port intends to land commercial airliners on runway 27 Left as part of its noise mitigation program in violation of the San Leandro Runway Use Policy contained in the City's settlement agreement with the Port. Recommendation for City Council Consideration: a. Recommend a letter be sent to the Port of Oakland under the Mayor's signature asking for a meeting to discuss the instrument landing system at the Oakland Airport's North Field and the implications of installing an additional instrument landing system for those runways. Recon1D1end a contractual services agreement for management of the Airport Noise Insulation Program be brought to the City Council for consideration. By the consensus of the Council, it was agreed to add the contractual services agreement for management of the Airport Noise Insulation Program to a future City Council agenda for consideration.
