<br />lVIINUTES Page 17 <br />City of San Leandro City Council and San Leandro Redevelopment Agency Joint Meeting-DECEiVIBER 15, 2003 <br /> <br />Mayor Young commented that on Saturday, she and many other volunteers helped the Police <br />and Fire Departments assemble 400 bicycles at the old Davis Street Fire Station. She reported <br />the President of the East Bay Bicycle Coalition participated and would like to use San <br />Leandro as a n10del for similar programs elsewhere. Mayor Young announced her intention <br />to recognize representatives from Police and Fire for raising over $16,000 for the Bicycle <br />Giveaway. She noted the bicycles will be given away at 10 a.m. on Saturday. <br />Mayor Young commented that she attended the Lighted Boat Parade at the San Leandro <br />Harbor and reported it was well-attended by the community. She also attended the San <br />Leandro Police Officers Association (SLPOA) reception later that night. <br /> <br />Vice Mayor Glaze con1mented that the Council normally reviews expense accounts, budgets <br />for medical benefits and technology and the process for reimbursements for the Mayor and <br />Council at the beginning of the year and suggested the matter be referred to the Rules and <br />Communications Committee. It was the consensus of the Council to do so. <br /> <br />13.
