Ayes: G; Nocs: 0; Absent: Mayor Young <br /> <br />The following Ordinance was then introduced: <br /> <br />Ordinance No. 2002-02, An Extension of an Interim Urgency Ordinancc <br />(Ordinance No. 200 1 ~(28) Requiring Discretionary Review of Certain <br />Development Proposals and Land-Use Changes Within the East 141h Street <br />South Area, Until December 17, 2003, or Until Proposed Zoning Code <br />Amendments Are Adopted (Whichever Occurs First), and Declaring This <br />Ordinance to Be an Urgency Measure, to Take Effect Immediately, as It Relates <br />to the Preservation of Public Peace, Health, and Safety. PUBLIC COMMENTS <br /> <br />Public Comments arc limited to 3 minutes per person. Greg Romani, Business Association of San Leandro South, 1338 136th A venue, <br />addressed the City Council and thanked Surlene Grant for her efforts in helping to <br />[onn the Business Association of San Leandro South. <br /> <br />B. Lou FiJipovich, 15376 Laverne Drive, addrcssed the City Council regarding the <br />Resolution denouncing racism on the agenda. lIc stressed the need for the City to <br />create a public advocate's office and added the local press does not cover what goes <br />on in local government. <br /> <br />5.
