Ayes: G; Nocs: 0; Absent: Mayor Young The following Ordinance was then introduced: Ordinance No. 2002-02, An Extension of an Interim Urgency Ordinancc (Ordinance No. 200 1 ~(28) Requiring Discretionary Review of Certain Development Proposals and Land-Use Changes Within the East 141h Street South Area, Until December 17, 2003, or Until Proposed Zoning Code Amendments Are Adopted (Whichever Occurs First), and Declaring This Ordinance to Be an Urgency Measure, to Take Effect Immediately, as It Relates to the Preservation of Public Peace, Health, and Safety. (2888/ I (24) -- Passed to Print and Adopted M/S/C Grant and Badger. Ayes: 6; Noes: 0; Absent: Mayor Young 4. PUBLIC COMMENTS Public Comments arc limited to 3 minutes per person. Greg Romani, Business Association of San Leandro South, 1338 136th A venue, addressed the City Council and thanked Surlene Grant for her efforts in helping to [onn the Business Association of San Leandro South. B. Lou FiJipovich, 15376 Laverne Drive, addrcssed the City Council regarding the Resolution denouncing racism on the agenda. lIc stressed the need for the City to create a public advocate's office and added the local press does not cover what goes on in local government. 5.
