PUBLIC HEARINGS <br /> <br />Public Hearing Comments are limited to 5 minutes per person. Lou Filipovich, 15376 Laverne Drive, addressed the City Council stating that <br />there is no redevelopment in the Washington Manor area, that Commissions and <br />Committees do not speak for the community as a whole, and that he does not <br />support redistricting in San Leandro. <br /> <br />5. CITY MANAGER'S REPORT AND COMMENTS <br /> <br />The City Manager reported that Randy Lucas, Senior Clerk support for the City <br />Council, is leaving his position on Friday, February 22, 2002, and for the immediate <br />future the City Clerk will serve as the contact person at City Hall for Council members. <br /> <br />The City Manager suggested that the issue of support staff for City Council be returned <br />to the Rules and Communications Committee to discuss the effectiveness of the current <br />configuration of support that is serving them. <br /> <br />Council agreed they would like to refer this issue to the Rules and Communications <br />Committee so they may have input on the process to replace the Council's clerical <br />support. <br /> <br />Council Member Nardine commented on the support Randy Lucas has given the City <br />Council and indicated that she is sorry to see him leave. She added that he was a great <br />assistant to the Council. <br /> <br />The Mayor remarked that Randy was an exceptional employee and that the Council <br />wishes him well on his relocation to Arizona. <br />
