Finance Committee Meeting ofJanuary 31, 2002. Accepted as submitted. 3. Rules and Conmlunications Committee Meeting of January 24, 2002. Accepted as submitted. 7. CONSENT CALENDAR Consent Calendar items are typically routine in nature and are considered for approval by the City Council with one single action. The City Council may remove items from the Consent Calendar for purposes of discussion. Items listed on the Consent Calendar are deemed to have been read by title. Vice Mayor Glaze requested clarification on Item 7.E and remarked that he would like to see the City mandate that trees removed be replaced with same size trees or perhaps that the City be compensated for large trees removed without the City's consent. The Mayor clarified a change she made in the representation on the City Council/San Leandro Unified School District Liaison Committee, stating that she has proposed the appointment of Council Member Badger rather than herself. She indicated that she has a conflict with another cOl1ID1ittee meeting time. A short City Council discussion ensued regarding the use of "altemate members" on the various City Council Committees. The issue was referred to the Rules and Communications Committee for discussion and recommendation to the full City Council. Council Member Santos requested that Item 7.B be removed for separate discussion and/or action. Item 7.B was removed from the Consent Calendar to New Business. The remaining items on the Consent Calendar were approved as follows: M/S/C Loeffler and Santos. Ayes: 7; Noes: 0
