Lou Filipovieh, 15376 Laverne Drive, addressed the City Council about the <br />procedure for calling speakers to the podium at Council meetings and the bond <br />issue for school districts. <br /> <br />2, John Manuel, 13122 Neptune Drive, addressed the City Council encouraging <br />Council Members to adopt the section on noise compatibility as originally <br />written. <br /> <br />3, Justin Agrella, 1231 _1481h Avenue, addressed the City Council expressmg <br />dissatisfaction with the General Plan. <br /> <br />4. Francois Gallo, 979 Woodland, addressed the City Council opposing the <br />proposed changes to limiting hours of operation and urging Council Members to <br />vote on the original wording. <br /> <br />5. Wafaa Aborashed, 672 Tudor Road, addressed the City Council opposing the <br />proposed changes to limiting hours of operation and urging Council Members to <br />vote on the original wording. <br /> <br />6. Tom Guarino, San Leandro Chamber of Commerce, addressed the City <br />Council supporting the original language orthe General Plan. <br /> <br />7. Harold Perez, 2052 Vestal Court, addressed the City Council supporting the <br />noise contours for Year 2015 rather than 2002. <br /> <br />A lengthy discussion by City Council Members ensued regarding language changes <br />to strengthen the policy for historical preservation, correct problems with the <br />wording about bond issues for school districts, clarify the proposed tree preservation <br />policy, and delete references to the Yokota Nursery site, Council Member Santos <br />also mentioned that A]ameda County lists the quarry site as open space but that the <br />City of San Leandro tenns the site "a ruture study area." <br /> <br />Council Member Santos revisited the discussion about noise compatibility, He <br />asked Council Members to reconsider Option A and to add language advocating for <br />quieter aircraft to mitigate nighttime engine runup activities. <br /> <br />Mayor Young requested the wording "Former City Attorney" be replaced with "City <br />Attorney Emeritus." <br />
