Minutes City of San Leandro City Council and <br />San Leandro Redevelopment Agency Joint Meeting May 6, 2002 <br /> <br />Page 18 <br /> <br />D. Council Member Loemer requested that the ABAG infornlation be submitted and <br />be made part of the record. <br /> <br />He also suggested the City support neighborhoods by providing scholarships lor <br />Leadership San Leandro to presidents or officers of neighborhood associations. <br /> <br />Council Member Loeffler announced that, using his empowennent funds, he and the <br />Chamber of Commerce co-hosted local teachers at Taste of San Leandro. <br /> <br />Council Member Loeffler requested the meeting be adjourned in memory of Glenn <br />Hilton, a leader with a quiet, gentle style and a man who made a difference. <br /> <br />E. Mayor Young announced that the Mayor's Cup Golf Tournament netted $9,023.00 <br />for the Mayor's Fund and that she donated a portion of the funds to both San <br />Leandro and San Lorenzo High Schools for Sober Grad Night. She asked to be <br />notified of other programs that may benefit from funds such as these. <br /> <br />Mayor Young also mentioned she was invited to participate as a guest in the 2002 <br />Jerusalem Conference of Mayors, but it has been postponed. Instead the City has <br />been asked to acknowledge Jerusalem Day on May 9,2002, by lighting candles and <br />offering a prayer. <br /> <br />10. ADJOURN <br /> <br />The City Council adjourned its meeting at 11: 18 p.m.: <br /> <br />In Memory of Glenn Hilton, Garner A.
