Association of Bay Area Governmcnts (ABAG) (appointment of one "Represcntative" and one "Alternate"; both arc two-year tenns of office - July I, 2002 through June 30, 20(4). The following Motion was then introduced: Minute Order No. 2002-37, Matter of Appointments of City Council Members to Intergovernmental Agencies. The City Council approved the appointment of City Council Members to the Association of Bay Area Governments (ABAG) (appointment of one "Representative" and one "Alternate"; both are two-year terms of office- July 1,2002 through June 30, 2004), as follows: (1003/1156) Representative: Council Member Badger Alternate: Council Member Nardine The Motion was approved without objection. Oakland Airport-Community Noise Management Forum (appointment or one "Elected Official," one "Altemate," and one "Community Representative"; two- year tenns of office - August 1, 2002 thru .J uly 31, 20(4). The Mayor commented that it is her intent to appoint herself as the Representative and Council Membcr Santos as the AItemate to continue serving. If Council Member Santos is not supportive of her role as the Representative, she suggested Council Member Surlene Grant be appointed as the Alternate. Public Comment: .John Manuel, 13122 Neptune Dr., addressed the City Council in support of Council Member Santos as the elected representative to serve 011 the Oakland Airport-Community Noise Management FOnlm. Dennis Rostleci, 13111 Neptune Dr., addressed the City Council in suppol1 or Council Member Santos' appointment.
