<br />Minutes - City of San Leandro City Council Meeting <br />July 15, 2002 <br /> <br />Page 5 <br /> <br />Harold Perez, Timothy Dr., addressed the City Council regarding ailvort noise issues. <br /> <br />Lou Filipovich, 15376 Laverne Dr., addressed the City Council regarding Consent <br />Calendar Item 7.M and property tax assessments. <br />5. CITY MANAGER'S REPORT AND COMMENTS <br /> <br />The City Manager commented, with regard to the Airport settlement, that the insulation <br />program will not be a FAA approved program, but will be a program paid by the Port of <br />Oakland out oftheir General Fund monies. <br /> <br />With regard to the comments made by Ms. Stark and prowlers in her neighborhood, the <br />City Manager noted the Police Department has been responding within three minutes <br />and will continue to monitor the area. It was also noted that the City Attorney's Office <br />is still working on revising thc City's Community Compliance. <br /> <br />In response to comments regarding solicitors and peddlers, it was noted solicitors must <br />havc a pcnnit and peddlers must obtain a busincss liccnse. Both are subject to <br />enforcement. <br /> <br />The City Manager responded to Mr. Pcrcz's inquiry regarding the Hoehner property by <br />indicating the issue will be before the City Council at a mceting in the near future. <br /> <br />The City Attorney, in response to comments about the house on W. 136111 Avenue, <br />indicated they arc continuing to look at options for enforcement. <br /> <br />6. CITY COUNCIL REPORTS <br /> <br />A Reports on lntergovernmcntal Agencies <br /> <br />1. Council Member Santos reported on his attendance at the Community Advisory <br />Committee ofthe Water Transit Authority. <br /> <br />2. Council Member Grant reported on her attendance at the recent Alamcda <br />County Housing Authority Meeting. <br /> <br />3. Mayor Young reported on her attendance at the Alameda County Congestion <br />Management Agency Mecting. <br /> <br />8. Reports on City Council Committees <br /> <br />1. Finance Committee Meeting of July 2, 2()()2. Accepted as submitted. <br /> <br />2. Human Relations Committee Meeting of July 10, 2002. Accepted as <br />submitted. <br />
