Roll Call <br /> <br />PRESENT: <br /> <br />Council Members Badger, Glaze, Grant, Loeffler, Nardine, Santos; <br />Mayor Young <br /> <br />ABSENT: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />2. PRESENTATIONS/RECOGNITIONS <br /> <br />Council Member Badger recognized Chris Doman in attendance. <br /> <br />Mayor Young announced that tabletop City flags were provided to the City Council this <br />evening as a sample of those which will be presented to each third-grade class throughout the <br />City. <br /> <br />A. Presentation of Certil1cates of Appreciation to San Leandro Hospital, Eden Medical <br />Center, Kjnclred Hospital S.F. Bay Area, Medtronic Physio-Control, American Medical <br />Response, and the Naga Metropolitan Society for their contributions toward sending an <br />ambulance and hospital supplies to San Leandro's Sister City of Naga, Republic of the <br />Philippines. <br /> <br />Representatives from the various organizations were in attendance to receive their awards. <br /> <br />B. Proclamation of October and November 2002 as "The Grapes 0/ Wrath Months" in San <br />Leandro. <br /> <br />Cindy Simons, Librarian, was present to receive the proclamation and announced <br />upcoming events celebrating "l71e Grapes 0./ Wrath Months." <br /> <br />C. Presentation of Certificates of Recognition to San Leandro Pirate Wrestling Club <br />members Madeline Briones, Roger Earp, David Jagoda, Juana Juarez, John Krieger, <br />Sean McNie, Estella Pino, Ben Shapiro, and Jaime Wallace for their accomplishments <br />at the Asies/ Advocare National United States Wrestling Association Tournament. <br /> <br />Members orthe Wrestling Club were present to receive their awards. <br />
