<br />MINUTES <br />City of San Leandro City Council Meeting-:-:~~p!~mhcr 16, 2002 <br /> <br />Page 5 <br /> <br />Public Comments: <br /> <br />Lou Filipovich,15376 Laverne Drive, addressed the City Council about how the <br />residents can learn about this information and commented on the financial <br />responsibility of the homeowner. <br /> <br />There being no further comments Crom the public, and without opposition, the Public <br />Hearing was closed. <br /> <br />Council Member Badger asked about the use onead pipes. Mr. Schock noted that lead <br />pipes do not introduce lead into the water. <br /> <br />Council Member Santos asked that the City Council be inforn1ed should new <br />technology for plumbing materials become available. <br /> <br />Council Member Grant commented on the use of plastic pipe and state guidelines. <br /> <br />Mr. Schock reported on types of materials used for specific purposes, such as drainage <br />systems. <br /> <br />The following Ordinances were then introduced: <br /> <br />. Ordinance No. 2002-025, Urgency Ordinance repealing Chapter 3 and adding <br />Chapter 3 of Title III of the San Leandro Municipal Code, amending the California <br />Building Standards Code and adopting by reference the Unifonn Fire Code, as <br />amended, and making this matter an Urgency Measure to take effect November 1, <br />2002, pursuant to Section 1-1-345(f) and (b) of the San Leandro Municipal Code <br />because it relates to particular provisions of law prescribing the manner of its passage <br />and adoption and preservation of public safety, health and welfare.
