When you address the City Council, <br />you should fill out a speaker eard and submit it to the City Clerk so the order of speakers <br />may be detemlined and an official record of names and addresses obtained. The public is <br />invited to make comments on Consent Calendar items, or other items of public interest not <br />listed on the Agenda, at this time. <br /> <br />A. Benny Lee, Heron Bay Task Force, addressed the City Council in opposition to the <br />EBMUD Groundwater project and its impacts. <br /> <br />B. Linda Kay Fritz, 16057 Via Catherine, San Lorenzo, addressed the City Council in <br />opposition to the EBMUD project and expressed his concem about landfill. <br /> <br />C. Sean Cunningham, 15196 Discovery Road, addressed the City Council in opposition to <br />the EBMUD project. <br /> <br />D. Audrey Lindahl, East Shore Community Association, addressed the City Council <br />inviting them to their next association meeting scheduled for September 21. She stated <br />they association wants to work with the City Council to improve the comer. <br /> <br />E. Pauline Williams, 16077 Via Walter, San Lorenzo, addressed the City Council in <br />opposition to the EBMUD Groundwater project and expressed concem about health <br />lSSlles. <br /> <br />F. Lou Filipovich, 15376 Laverne Drive, addressed the City Council on the Minutes from <br />the previous Council meeting and stated he felt he had not heen allowed to speak. <br /> <br />5. CITY MANAGER'S REPORT AND COMMENTS <br /> <br />City Manager John Jemla11is clarilled that the EBMUD project was not an item on the <br />evening's agenda. He acknowledged the large number of people in the audience concemed <br />about the project. He noted the City Council has been hearing about the project for a couple <br />of years and commented that both the Mayor and Vice Mayor have attended public input <br />meetings provided hy EBMUD. He reported that staff has responded to the draft EIR. City <br />Manager Jenllanis clarified the role of the EBMUD Board of Directors and further suggested <br />that members of the community interact directly with the EBMUD Board, attend meetings. <br />He advised that City staff will continue to monitor the status of the project as well. <br />
