CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />A. Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag <br /> <br />B. Roll Call <br /> <br />PRESENT: <br /> <br />Membcrs Badgcr, Glaze, Grant, Loeffler, Nardinc, Santos; <br />Mayor Young <br /> <br />ABSENT: <br /> <br />Council Mcmber Loeffler lcft the meeting at 10:55 p.m. <br /> <br />2. PRESENTATIONS/RECOGNITIONS <br /> <br />The Mayor announced the following proclamations had been issued; proclaiming Octobcr 30, <br />2002 as "San Leandro LINKS Day;" proclaiming October 14-18, 2002 as "San Leandro High <br />School Spilit Week." <br /> <br />The Mayor announced a commendation was presented to Johan Klehs to congratulate and <br />commend him for his many years of public service and wish him the very best in all his future <br />endeavors. <br /> <br />A. Recognition of the Employee of the Month few the month of Novcmber 2002, <br />Penny Peck, Senior Librarian, Library Department. <br /> <br />Penny Peck ("Miss Penny") was present to receive her award. <br /> <br />B. Presentation to Vice-Mayor Bob Glaze [or completion of the Basic Level of the League <br />of Cali fomi a Cities Mayors and Council Members Leadership Academy. <br /> <br />Stacy Wells of the League of Califomia Cities presented Vice-Mayor Bob Glaze with a <br />plaque in honor of his completion of the Leadership Academy, and Mayor Young <br />presented Vice-Mayor Glaze with a lapel pin. Ms. Wells announced Mayor Young was <br />the first East Bay graduate ofthe Leadership Academy in 1999. <br />
