(1219) <br /> <br />8. NEW BUSINESS <br /> <br />Public Comments on New Business items arc pennitted if a Speaker Card is submitted before <br />the staff presentation is completed. Each speaker will be allowed 3 minutes for comments. <br /> <br />A. Resolution No. 2002-157, resolution designating placement of stop sign at Monterey <br />Boulevard and Portola Drive (intersections) -Title VI, Chapter 1 of the San Leandro <br />Municipal Code; reinstallation of stop sign on Aurora Drive at Bennuda A venue; and <br />removal of stop sign on Bodega Way at Aurora Drive (provides for placement of a stop <br />sign on the northwesterly Monterey Boulevard approach to Portola Drive; reinstallation of <br />the stop sign on the southbound Aurora Drive approach to Bermuda Drive; and removal <br />of the stop sign on the westbound Bodega Court approach to Aurora Drive). (2942) <br /> <br />City Manager Jermanis noted this action gives fo m1a I authorization for stop signs <br />inadvertently added or removed without prior Council authorization. <br /> <br />Mayor Young asked if the Council could have input 011 where signs arc being tested, <br />Mayor Young suggested staff look into the need for 4-way stop signs at Clark and Castro. <br /> <br />M/S/C Santos and Badger. Mayor Young reported discovering the Community Christian School at 562 Lewelling <br />Boulevard on the same side of town as the [onner Manor Baptist School, and urged <br />members of the Council to participate in handing out flags in her San Leandro Pride <br />program. Mayor Young provided copies to Council of the new laws signed by C.iovemor <br />Davis as well as a listing ofthose that failed to pass. Council Members were asked if they <br />
