It was suggested that <br />possibly the Rules and Communications Committee take this issue under <br />consideration. <br /> <br />F. Council Member Galvan questioned when the Ordinance providing options for <br />exemptions to the Real Property Transfer Tax might be coming back to the City <br />Council. <br /> <br />The City Manager responded that the options are currently being reviewed and <br />should be coming to the City Council for consideration in February. <br /> <br />G. Vice Mayor Glaze noted that some of the issues raised by Council under Council <br />Comments are non-agenda items and should be placed on the next Council agenda <br />for action. These items include the creation of an Ad Hoc Committee regarding <br />"mega" houses and an Ad Hoc Committee (composed of the Mayor, Vice Mayor <br />and Council Member Santos) regarding recognition of retiring employees. <br /> <br />Vice Mayor Glaze thanked Assistant City Manager Wandzia Grycz for her service <br />to the City and indicated that she had seen the City through some troubling times. <br />He indicated that Wandzia had helped to bring the City and employees together <br />during that time and acknowledged her value to the organization. <br /> <br />Vice Mayor Glaze announced that Val Gill was ill and expressed the Council's <br />wishes for his speedy recovery and concluded by announcing that John Faria was a <br />new grandfather. <br /> <br />10. CONTINUED PUBLIC COMMENTS <br /> <br />Continued Public Comments is limited to the balance of speaker cards that have been <br />submitted to the City Clerk and any new speakers who have not been heard. <br />Comments will be limited to 5 minutes per speaker. <br /> <br />A. Assistant City Manager Grycz took this opportunity to address the City Council <br />and the City Manager to thank them for their support during her tenure with San <br />Leandro. She commented that the leadership of the City Council was remarkable <br />and their actions commendable. She acknowledged the dedicated staff for their <br />professionalism in following the Council's leadership and for their support. She <br />personally thanked John Jermanis for his leadership and companionship while <br />working with him. <br />
