CITY MANAGER'S REPORT AND COMMENTS The City Manager noted that the issue of rent review would be discussed later in the meeting. In response to comments made by Ms. Banks, he responded that the Bayfair Mall issue would be reviewed during the normal process at the Planning Commission level. In response to comments by Mr. Rawlis, the City Manager noted that repair of sidewalks is an obligation of the property owner. With regard to the development at San Leandro Blvd. and Davis Street, the City Manager remarked that construction is due to begin in the next month or two. The City Manager commented that the BART Plan to provide additional parking will be addressed as that project moves forward, and that the Police Department will continue to work with the surrounding residents to address issues regarding parking enforcement. In conclusion, the City Manager remarked that the San Leandro Historical Society is a priority for the City and that staff will work with the organization to further their goals. 6. CITY COUNCIL REPORTS A. Reports on Intergovernmental Agencies 1. The Mayor noted that she has appointed Council Member Santos to represent the City of San Leandro on the San Francisco Bay Water Transit Authority Community Advisory Board. B. Reports on City Council Committees 1. Minute Order No. 2001-25, Motion to Refer the Review and Creation of a Local Purchasing Ordinance to the City Council Economic Development and Redevelopment Committee.
