CITY COUNCIL COMMENTS <br /> <br />Vice Mayor Glaze reported on the rededication of the Tony Lema Golf Course along <br />with the Monarch Bay Golf Club and commended the Mayor on her successful <br />Mayor's Cup GolfToumament. <br /> <br />A. Council Member Loeffler echoed comments made regarding the rededication of <br />the Golf Course. <br /> <br />Council Member Loeffler commended the San Lorenzo School District, under the <br />leadership of Janis Duran, for launching an e-Learning Project partnership with <br />Dell to bring notebook computers into the classrooms of San Lorenzo schools. <br /> <br />Council Member Loeffler reported on a recent news article he read regarding <br />FEMA funding and indicated that the City's second year of funding of Project <br />Impact appeared to be "at risk" under President Bush's plans to cut $25 million of <br />Project Impact funding. He suggested Council Members travelling to Washington <br />D.C. next week lobby Federal contacts on the restoration of those funds. <br /> <br />Regarding a recent memo received about Kid's Club, Council Member Loeffler <br />noted his frustration as the City is forced to reduce services due to State rules and <br />regulations regarding child care, licenses and legal liability. <br />
