The City Manager clarified that Steve Meyers retired from serving as the City <br />Attorney as of January 1, 2001, and continues to serve as Special Counsel when <br />needed. He added the City Council appointed Liane Randolph as City Attorney, <br />effective January 1, 2001, and other members of the Meyers, Nave, Riback and <br />Silver firm serve in her absence when necessary. <br /> <br />6. CITY COUNCIL REPORTS <br /> <br />A. City Council Requested Actions <br /> <br />1. Minute Order No. 2001-33, Motion to Refer Review of the Utility User Tax <br />to the City Council Finance Committee. (1170) <br /> <br />The City Council referred the review of the Utility User Tax to the City <br />Council Finance Committee. <br /> <br />M/S/C Glaze and Santos. Ayes: 7; Noes: 0 <br /> <br />B. Reports on Intergovernmental Agencies <br /> <br />The Mayor reported that AC Transit's MIS (Major Investment Study) Committee <br />is close to its final recommendations on improving bus services on the E. 14th <br />Street corridor. She indicated there would be a report coming forward in the near <br />future. <br /> <br />C. Reports on City Council Committees <br /> <br />1. Rules and Communications Committee Meeting of February 22,2001. <br /> <br />Council Member Loefller indicated that he would like to see the survey of <br />nearby cities regarding Senior Commissions. He requested information that is <br />brought to the Committees be attached to the highlights provided to the entire <br />City Council. <br /> <br />Given the discussion regarding the Development of Historic Photo Archives, <br />the City Manager explained the need to develop a comprehensive program to <br />ensure that civic activities and events are memorialized through the variety of <br />media available. He further noted the new Public Information Officer would be <br />able to assist in the process. <br /> <br />Vice Mayor Glaze indicated that the task of going back and documenting the <br />City's historical photos would be a good project for the San Leandro Historical <br />Society. <br />
