PUBLIC HEARINGS <br /> <br />Public Hearing Comments are limited to 5 minutes per person. When you address the <br />City Council, you should fill out a speaker card and submit it to the City Clerk so the <br />order of speakers may be determined and an official record of names and addresses <br />obtained. <br /> <br />A. Matter of Proposed Adjustments in Fees and Charges for Services Provided by <br />City Departments, Fiscal Year 2001-2002. <br /> <br />This being the time and place for the Public Hearing on the above matter Mike <br />White, Assistant Finance Director, gave a presentation and overview of the <br />proposed fee adjustments. <br /> <br />The Hearing was then opened to the public. <br /> <br />Greg Hammond, TriNet, 101 Callan Avenue, addressed the City Council <br />regarding the increase in parking fees. He indicated that they do not oppose them <br />in concept, but need a longer period of time to budget for those changes. <br /> <br />James Begier, 1915 E. 14th Street, addressed the City Council in opposition to <br />the proposed fees. <br /> <br />Tom Guarino, Chamber of Commerce, addressed the City Council with <br />concerns for the increase in parking fees, indicating the Chamber felt this was too <br />large of an increase all at once. <br /> <br />There being no further comments from the public, the Public Hearing was closed. <br /> <br />MlS/C Galvan and Grant. Ayes: 7; Noes: 0 <br /> <br />City Council discussion ensued regarding the need to further investigate the matter <br />of parking fees. It was suggested that the issue be sent for in-depth review by the <br />Parking Ad Hoc Committee. It was stressed that those meetings should include <br />and encourage public involvement. <br />
