NEW BUSINESS Items removed from the Consent Calendar: 7.F An Ordinance Adding Title I, Chapter 3, Article 14 to the San Leandro Municipal Code Relating to the Establishment of a Rent Review Board and Amending Section 1- 3-100 to Include Such Rent Review Board. The City Attorney clarified that rents that are increased prior to the ordinance becoming effective will not be covered under this ordinance. The Rent Review Board will not have jurisdiction over raises in rent before May 2, 2001. The following Ordinance was then introduced: Ordinance No. 2001-09, An Ordinance Adding Title I, Chapter 3, Article 14 to the San Leandro Municipal Code Relating to the Establishment of a Rent Review Board and Amending Section 1-3-100 to Include Such Rent Review Board. Ayes: 7; Noes: 0 The City Clerk administered the oath of office to Mr. Ruiz. B. Report on Closed Session Actions Taken. There was no report. 9. CITY COUNCIL COMMENTS A. Council Member Galvan commented on the pending issue regarding 2nd story and/or mega additions to homes and requested that the City Council place it on the April 16, 2001 Agenda for discussion. B. Council Member Grant questioned how the census data would be reviewed as it relates to services and redistricting. Staff was directed to place this matter on the April 16, 2001 Agenda for discussion. C. Council Member Nardine commented on Pike Street and that it is the route to Coca-Cola. She questioned if Pike Street should be renamed and requested information on the policy for naming and/or renaming streets.
