PUBLIC COMMENTS <br /> <br />Public Comments are limited to 5 minutes per person, for a total time period of one <br />hour. When you address the City Council, you should fill out a speaker card and <br />submit it to the City Clerk so the order of speakers may be determined and an official <br />record of names and addresses obtained. The public is invited to make any comments <br />related to Agenda items, or other items of public interest, at this time. <br /> <br />A. Bill Stephens, Estudillo HOA, 741 Lee, addressed the City Council requesting a <br />neighborhood monument for the EstudilIo neighborhood on Estudillo Avenue. He <br />also requested that the City Council consider funding for the redevelopment of <br />MacArthur Blvd. Referring to comments made in the local newspaper regarding <br />an increase in numbers of children who qualifY for free lunches, he indicated that <br />there is a need to investigate the needs of our children and work on systemic <br />solutions. <br /> <br />B. Bridget Metcalfe, 2222 Sandpiper Court, addressed the City Council regarding <br />Heron Bay. She thanked Tony Santos, Bob Glaze and the Mayor for taking extra <br />time to reevaluate the EBMOn project. She stated her concerns regarding <br />possible seismic activity and the lack of emergency plans in the case of something <br />happening. <br /> <br />C. Betty Chan, 15582 Baypoint Avenue, addressed the City Council regarding the <br />EBMUD lack of notification of all the residents in the proposed aquifer areas. She <br />indicated she feels more public notification should be done in other languages for <br />sufficient public input. She encouraged the City to ask for a 60-day extension for <br />additional public input regarding the ElR. <br /> <br />D. Larry Norry, 2532 Williams Street, addressed the City Council requesting that <br />the City Council Meeting be adjourned in memory of 1. G. Sanders. <br /> <br />E. Lou Filipovich, 15376 Laverne Drive, addressed the City Council regarding how <br />public comments are handled on the agenda. He also commented on the lack of <br />LAFCO review of the Heron Bay area when annexed into the San Leandro Unified <br />School District. <br /> <br />F. Terry Floyd, 240 Sybil Avenue, addressed the City Council pointing out the <br />public's lack of support of the City's Redevelopment Agency's actions. <br />
