CITY MANAGER'S REPORT AND COMMENTS <br /> <br />The City Manager noted staff will continue to follow East Bay Municipal Utility <br />District's proposed Groundwater Plan and will contact Mr. Lampe regarding <br />comments made concerning the notification process and the need for notification in <br />various languages. <br /> <br />The City Manager commented that the issue regarding a monument on Estudillo <br />Avenue would be discussed during the CIP Program segment of this year's proposed <br />budget. <br /> <br />The City Manager then introduced Mr. Ed Schilling, who is the newly appointed <br />Assistant City Manager. <br /> <br />7. CITY COUNCIL REPORTS <br /> <br />A. City Council Requested Actions <br /> <br />I. Motion to Refer Request to Rename the City Manager's Office, Large <br />Conference Room, in Honor of Wes McClure, to the City Council Rules and <br />Communications Committee. <br /> <br />The following Motion was then introduced: <br /> <br />Minute Order No. 2001-43, Motion to Refer Request to Rename the City <br />Manager's Office, Large Conference Room, in Honor ofWes McClure, to <br />the City Council Rules and Communications Committee. (1156) <br /> <br />The City Council referred a request to rename the City Manager's <br />Office, Large Conference Room, in honor of Wes McClure, to the City <br />Council Rules and Communications Committee. <br /> <br />M/S/C Glaze and Loeffler. Ayes: 7; Noes: 0 <br /> <br />B. Reports on Intergovernmental Agencies <br /> <br />1. Council Member Loeffler reported on his attendance, as alternate, at a recent <br />ACAP (Alameda County Associated Community Action Program) meeting. <br /> <br />Council Member Loeffler also reported that the San Leandro Collaborative is <br />working on the creation of a Steering Committee and noted the need to have <br />parents participate. <br /> <br />Council Member Loeffler additionalIy reported on the AC Transit MIS Study, <br />which is looking at the E. 14th Street corridor from Berkeley to Bay Fair. <br />
