CITY MANAGER'S REPORT AND COMMENTS <br /> <br />The City Manager reported that the lot on Davis & Douglas is currently proposed for <br />residential use, and there has been no request for commercial use expressed. <br /> <br />With regard to the Notice that Mr. Rawlis referred to in his comments, the City <br />Manager noted they are "Courtesy Notices" and are sent to inform residents that it is <br />okay to wash cars on front lawns, but the cars must be removed and parked in the <br />appropriate driveway or on the street as allowed. <br /> <br />The City Manager, in conclusion, remarked that the comments made regarding the <br />Parcel Map will be discussed under New Business Item C later on the agenda. <br /> <br />6. CITY COUNCIL REPORTS <br /> <br />A. Reports on Intergovernmental Agencies <br /> <br />1. Council Member Santos reported on having attended the East Bay Division of <br />California League of Cities Meeting where he noted the League was working <br />to increase the energy conservation reduction goal from 7% to 15%. <br /> <br />2. Mayor Young reported on Congestion Management Authority's (CMA) 1-880 <br />Intermodel Committee discussions and noted that efforts to charge for excess <br />capacity on 1-880, allowing couriers/express delivery service to use diamond <br />lanes, has been abandoned as there is currently no excess capacity. She noted <br />they would continue to work on Smart Corridors throughout the County. <br /> <br />B. Reports on City Council Committees <br /> <br />1. City and San Leandro Unified School District Liaison Committee Meeting of <br />May 1,2001. Accepted as submitted. <br /> <br />2. Finance Committee Meeting of May 2,2001. Accepted as submitted. <br /> <br />3. Mayor's Human Relations Council Meeting of May 10, 2001. Accepted as <br />submitted. <br />
