<br />Minutes - City of San Leandro City Council, <br />San Leandro Economic Development Agency, <br />San Leandro Housing Finance Corporation, <br />San Leandro Parking Authority, <br />San Leandro Public Financing Authority, and <br />San Leandro Redevelopment Agency Joint Meeting - June 18, 2001 <br /> <br />Page 5 <br /> <br />Mayor Young commented that the Waste Management Association granted a <br />Green Building Program Grant to Fire Station # 1 0 at Williams Street in the <br />amount of just under $18,000. <br /> <br />3. Vice Mayor Glaze indicated that he had the opportunity to take a guest on <br />BART last weekend and commented that the system at Bayfair is getting <br />worse. He expressed concerns regarding ticket machines and the inability to <br />get change from the machines and/or concessionaires. He stated that he feels <br />that the Bayfair Station is not receiving the appropriate attention it needs and <br />that the image of San Leandro is tainted as a result of that neglect. <br /> <br />B. Reports on City Council Committees <br /> <br />1. Finance Committee Meeting of June 13, 2001. <br /> <br />Minute Order No. 2001-58, Motion directing staff to develop ordinances <br />amending the San Leandro Municipal Code to incorporate the Finance <br />Committee's recommendations regarding exemption categories relative to <br />the Real Property Transfer Tax and the Utility Users' Tax for consideration <br />at the July 2,2001, City Council Meeting. (1170/1413) <br /> <br />The City Council directed staff to develop an ordinance amending the <br />San Leandro Municipal Code to incorporate the Finance Committee's <br />recommendations regarding exemption categories relative to the <br />Utility Users' Tax for consideration at the July 2, 2001, City Council <br />Meeting:, <br /> <br />M/S/C Santos and Glaze. Ayes: 6; Noes: 0 <br /> <br />It was noted that the Real Property Transfer Tax proposed exemptions wilI <br />be brought back to the City Council after staff has had the opportunity to <br />meet with local realtors to develop the administrative regulations that are <br />needed. <br />
