PUBLIC HEARING - CITY COUNCIL ONLY <br /> <br />Public Hearing Comments arc limited to 5 minutes per pcrson. When you address the <br />City Council, you should fill out a speaker card and submit it to the City Clerk so the <br />order of speakers may be determincd and an otlicial record of names and addresses <br />obtained. <br /> <br />A. Matter of PLN2001-00056; Planned Development; to Construct an II-Unit, <br />Residential Condominium Building; the Units Will Be for Sale as Individual Units; <br />a Parking Garage Will Be Constructed Bcneath the Proposed Units; 82 Chumalia <br />Street (Northwest Corner of Chumalia and Hyde Streets); Assessor's Parcel <br />Numbers 77-446-1-2 and 77-44Ci-l; Hunt Hale & Jones Architects, Applicant; <br />Maybelle Propel1ies, LLC, Property Owners; RM-1800 (PD) Residential Multi- <br />Family, Planned Development Overlay District <br /> <br />This being the time and place fllr the Public Hearing on the above malter, Elmer <br />Penaranda, Planner II, gave an overview orthe proposal <br /> <br />Dan Hale, Applicant, gave a more in-depth overview or the proposal and urged the <br />City Council to approve the Planned Development <br /> <br />The Hearing was then opened to the public <br /> <br />There being no comments from the public, and without opposition, the Public <br />Hearing was closed <br /> <br />Council discussion ensued regarding concerns with creek access and dumpsters <br />that will be placed there twice a year Cor cleanup ellllrts. Council also expressed <br />concern regarding sloped driveways that may be attractive to skateboarders and <br />suggested that a gated access be explored. Comments were also made regarding <br />the eiTects of lighting tl-om the neighboring Longs Drug Store. It was noted <br />parking is critical for this project and clarified that the maximum amount of street <br />parking had been provided <br />
