IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO RESOLUTION ADOPTING A NEGATIVE DECLARATION FOR THE SAN LEANDRO MARINA BOAT LAUNCHING FACILITY, PROJECT NO. 150-38-246, AS COMPLETE AND IN COMPLIANCE WITH THE CALIFORNIA ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY ACT (CEQA) WHEREAS, as part of the anticipated redevelopment of the former "Boatworks" site at the Marina, it is necessary to relocate the boat launch ramp and the proposed new ramp will be located on Mulford Point Drive, adjacent to the Marina office near Mulford Point. When the new boat launch ramp is completed and operational, the existing launch ramp will be closed; and WHEREAS, the California Department of Boating and Waterways (DBW) awarded a grant to the City for design, permitting, and construction of a new boat launch ramp and associated boating facilities; and WHEREAS, the City Council awarded the design, document preparation, and permitting services at Concept Marine Associates; and WHEREAS, the Notice of Intent was published on October 23, 2006, with a thirty -day period for public review and comment concluding on November 22, 2006. No comments were received during this period. WHEREAS, the office of the Engineering and Transportation Department of the City of San Leandro is located at 835 East 14th Street, San Leandro, California, and said Department is the custodian of the documents or other materials forming the basis for this determination. NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro adopts the attached Negative Declaration and finds and resolves as follows: The Negative Declaration reflects the City's judgment and analysis on the potential environmental effects of the proposed Marina Boat Launch Facility project.
