Consulting Services Agreement 3 <br /> <br />February 13,2007 <br /> <br />Code Compliance Review <br />N/A <br /> <br />Board/Commission Findim!s <br />N/A <br /> <br />Summary of Public Outreach Efforts <br />The San Leandro Arts Council was represented on the proposal Review Committee. <br /> <br />Fiscal Impact <br /> <br />The total cost of the project will be $83,500.00. The Alameda County Firefighters Association <br />has pledged $2,500 toward the cost, the Police Officers Association has pledged $7,500, <br />unsolicited donations have been received from the San Leandro Kiwanis Club and the <br />Broadmoor Homeowners Association totaling $1,100. Publicity surrounding the project will <br />announce that private contributions toward the project are welcome. However, it is not intended <br />that the City will undertake a fundraising effort. Any private contributions will be duly <br />recognized but will not be memorialized in the project. The remainder of the funds for the <br />project will come from the General Fund. <br /> <br />Budget Authority <br />It is anticipated that $72,400 or less will be needed to be transferred from the Special Non- <br />Departmental Services budget to a Capital Improvement Project account, depending upon <br />unsolicited contributions that may be received for the project from the community. <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />~aloca, Finance Director <br /> <br />Attachments <br />Artist conceptual images of the proposed San Leandro Civic Center Public Safety Monument <br />and poem text. <br /> <br />CONCLUSION <br /> <br />It is recommended the City enter into a Consulting Services Agreement with Monument Arts, <br />Inc. of Sandy, Utah for the design, fabrication and installation of the San Leandro Civic Center <br />Public Safety Monument. <br />
