The public is invited to make comments on items of public interest NOT <br />listed on the Agenda. <br /> <br />Due to the number of speakers and length of the interview process, the comments were <br />limited to the District 6 appointment process, and Mayor Santos limited the time allotted each <br />speaker to one minute. <br /> <br />Speaking in support of applicant Jim ProIa: <br />Andy Kopp, Bud Beal, Obray Van Buren, Beth Pickering, Bella Comelo and Donna Scarano <br /> <br />Speaking in support of applicant Esther Collier: <br />Barbara Sidari, Joe Collier and Howard Kerr <br /> <br />Speaking in support of applicant Adan Alonzo: <br />J ames McGee <br /> <br />Speaking in support of applicant Carmen Fewless: <br />Amada Robles <br /> <br />Speaking in support of applicant Estelle Clemons: <br />Dr. Paul Dancy <br /> <br />Paul Elizondo, San Leandro resident, addressed the City Council, commenting on the <br />City's large Latino population and urging the City Council to appoint a Latino to the District 6 <br />City Council seat. <br /> <br />John Manuel, San Leandro resident, addressed the City Council, commenting on the issues <br />in District 6 and the involvement by the applicants in meetings related to the issues. <br /> <br />Tom Silva, San Lorenzo resident, addressed the City Council, commenting that the District <br />6 Councilmember must represent the interests of District 6 and the entire City of San Leandro <br />and wished the Council the best in this difficult decision. <br /> <br />3. BUSINESS ITEMS <br /> <br />A.
