Ayes: 6; Noes: 0

F. City Council Review and Selection of Two to Three Projects for Presentation to Our
Congressional Representatives During the March National League of Cities Conference
in Washington D.C. for Inclusion in the Federal Fiscal Year 08 Budget.

Assistant City Manager Steve Hollister reported on the seven projects which have been
identified to advocate to congressional representatives during the Council's upcoming
conference in Washington, D.C. It was recommended that the Council select no more
than three of the projects for presentation to our congressional representatives for
inclusion in the federal FY 08 budget.

Mayor Santos noted that four members of the Council will be traveling to Washington,
D.C. He stated that the Senior Center would be a project to which the federal legislators
would be receptive.

Vice Mayor Grant inquired about the City's relationship with the Army Corps of
Engineers and the funding for the Marina dredging. Mr. Jermanis and Mr. Hollister
reported on the status of funding for dredging the Marina.

Councilmember Souza expressed support for the Senior Center, Davis Street
interchange and Marina Boulevard interchange projects.

Councilmember Stephens expressed support for the Senior Center, East 14th Street
improvements and the Davis Street interchange projects.

Councilmember Gregory expressed support for the Senior Center and East 14th Street
improvements. He commented that for the long term, he would like to see City projects
incorporate green building principles.

Councilmember Starosciak commented that the Congestion Management Agency
(CMA) has not yet approved the High Occupancy Vehicle lane on 1-880 from 98th
Avenue to Marina Boulevard. If not approved, she noted that there would be much less
funding available for interchange improvements.

Councilmember Souza indicated that she would change her third choice to East 14th
Street improvements.

Vice Mayor Grant commented that she would like to have a packet of materials on the
Marina to take to Washington in case the opportunity arises to promote that project.

Minute Order No. 2007-011, Motion Selecting Projects for Presentation to Our
Congressional Representatives During the March National League of Cities Conference
in Washington D.C. for Inclusion in the Federal Fiscal Year 08 Budget.
