Fixed Costs include all Operation and Maintenance costs not defined below as <br />"Variable Costs". Fixed Costs, not recovered from other sources shall be <br />apportioned to member agencies on their capacity rights as follows: <br /> <br />City of San Leandro <br />Oro Loma/Castro Valley <br />City of Hayward <br />Union Sanitary District <br /> <br />22.3 MGD <br />69.2 MGD <br />35.0 MGD <br />42.9 MGD <br /> <br />13.2% <br />40.8% <br />20.7% <br />25.3% <br /> <br />2. Variable Costs shall be deemed to be costs of energy used for pumping, <br />chemical costs used in operation of the Joint Facilities and maintenance and <br />repair charges incurred in the operation and maintenance of the system. Variable <br />Costs, after receipt of revenue from other sources shall be allocated to member <br />agencies in proportion to the total flow contributed to the Joint Facilities during <br />the previous 12 month period ending the last day of February. The member <br />agency's percentage of variable costs shall be determined each year on March <br />1 st and will be the percentage utilized for the following fiscal year in preparation <br />of the budget and invoicing of the O&M variable costs for the balance of the <br />current fiscal year and the next fiscal year through February. Costs invoiced <br />from July through February of the current fiscal year shall then be adjusted to <br />reflect the revised actual allocation calculation on March 1. <br /> <br />Operation and Maintenance Costs for Sole Use Facilities, including an allocation of <br />general administrative expenses to be agreed upon between the Agency (or Agencies) <br />and Authority when service is requested shall be born exclusively by the Agency (or <br />Agencies) owning said facilities. <br /> <br />-30- <br />
