<br />O. During construction the following high standards for sarutatlOn are required: <br />Garbage cans, construction dumpsters, and debris piles shall be removed on a <br />minimum weekly basis. All food related trash items such as wrappers, cans, bottles, <br />and food scraps shall be disposed of in closed containers only and shall be regularly <br />removed from the site. Inspections, conducted as part of the regular construction <br />compliance, will be conducted to ensure compliance of the Applicant and <br />contractors with this requirement. <br /> <br />P. Interior floor drains shall be plumbed to the sanitary sewer system and shall not be <br />connected to stonn drains. <br /> <br />Q. Interior level parking garage floor drains receiving non~stormwater discharges <br />shall be connected to a grease removal device and/or treatment devices prior to <br />discharging to the sanitary sewer system. <br /> <br />R. All outdoor equipment ana materials storage areas shall be covered and bermed, <br />or shall be designed with BMPs to limit the potential for runoff to contact <br />pollutants. Storage areas containing non~hazardous liquids shall be covered by a <br />roof and drain to the sanitary sewer system, and be contained by berms~ dikes, <br />liners, vaults or similar spill containment devices. The applicant shall contact the <br />City for specific connection and discharge requirements. All on-site hazardous <br />materials and wastes, as defined and/or regulated by the California Public Health <br />Code and the local Certified Unified Program Agency (CUP A) [, i.e., Alameda <br />County Environmental Health DepartmentJ~ must be used and managed in <br />compliance with the applicable CUP A program regulations and the facility <br />hazardous materials management plan approved by the CUP A authority. <br /> <br />S. Wastewater from vehicle and equipment washing operations shall not be <br />discharged to the stonn drain system. A roofed, benned area shall be provided for <br />washing of vehicles/equipment, or such washing activities should be discouraged <br />by removing hose bibs (faucets) and installing signs prohibiting such uses. <br />Vehicle/equipment washing areas shall be paved, designed to prevent run-on to or <br />runoff from the area, and plumbed to drain to the sanitary sewer. A sign shall be <br />posted indicating the location and allowed uses in the designated wash area. <br /> <br />T. Runoff from trash enclosures, recycling areas~ or similar facilities shall not <br />discharge to the storm drain system. Trash enclosure areas shall be covered and <br />designed to avoid run-on to the trash enclosure area. Any drains installed in or <br />beneath dumpsters shall be connected to a grease removal device and/or treatment <br />devices prior to discharging to the sanitary sewer. <br /> <br />u. Vehicle/equipment repair and maintenance shall be perfonned in a designated <br />area indoors, or if such services must be performed outdoors~ in an area designed <br />to prevent the run~on and runoff of stonnwater.
