Discussion Regarding Bay Trail San Leandro Slough Bridge <br /> <br />Keith Cooke gave a PowerPoint presentation regarding the Bay Trail San Leandro Slough <br />Bridge. Keith explained that the project will address one of the major gaps on the Bay <br />Trail. <br /> <br />Discussion ensued. Mayor Santos asked if there is any way to accelerate the project. <br />Uche Udemezue explained that the environmental process has to be completed for the <br />East Bay Regional Parks District first. It could be fall before that is completed and we <br />are ready to proceed. Then we are facing possible weather issues. The project should <br />really go to bid in January. The expected construction time is approximately 4 to 6 <br />months. <br /> <br />2. Doolittle Drive Entryway Phase 1 and 2 Presentation <br /> <br />Ken Joseph gave a PowerPoint presentation regarding the Doolittle Drive Entryway <br />Phase I and 2, explaining that the project has bid and has been awarded. Ken gave a <br />brief history of the project, and stated that a Memorandum of Understanding has been <br />signed between the City of San Leandro, the City of Oakland and the Port of Oakland for <br />the project. <br /> <br />Ken explained that the design of the project presented some problems, especially <br />continued access to businesses if a median is installed as suggested by the initial study. <br />Vertically, runway 27R's flight plan is directly over Doolittle Drive, which limits the <br />
