The annual budget since that time has remained at $400k, with <br />funding from the Community Development Block Grant received by the City. $300k in <br />funding is for low interest loans payable upon transfer of the property, and the other lOOk is for <br />$5k grants. The City plans to increase program funding to $600k in FY 2007-08. Loans and <br />grants are provided on a fIrst come, fIrst serve basis and at the end ofthe fIscal year, there is <br />generally a wait list. In FY 2006-07, assistance will be provided to approximately 30 <br />homeowners through the residential rehabilitation program. <br /> <br />3. Overview of Pending Development Applications <br /> <br />. 14844 - 14860 East 14th Street (x. Bancroft). Planning Manager Pollart reported <br />that the Riding Group is proposing a 44-unit townhouse development on the former <br />Dollar Rent-A-Car site at 14844 - 14860 East 14th Street. The development includes <br />seven one-bedroom units and thirty-seven two-bedroom units in an alley-access type <br />development with two and three story buildings and tandem and side-by-side parking. <br />The project includes the required 15% inclusionary housing units. The plans for this <br />proposed planned development are schedule to go to the Planning Commission on <br />May 24,2007 and to the Joint Redevelopment Agency Advisory Committee in May <br />2007. <br /> <br />. 14823 East 14th Street. Planning Manager Pollart updated the Committee on <br />McDonalds planned renovation to remove the outdoor play area and expand the front <br />of the building approximately 1,000 square feet to accommodate a new indoor play <br />area. Additionally, McDonalds plans to update their parking to meet ADA <br />requirements and add a second drive-thru window. A site plan review and use permit <br />will be required from the Board of Zoning Adjustments. This project will not go to <br />Council for approval. <br /> <br />4. Update on Development Projects <br /> <br />Business Development Manager Sims updated the Committee on the following projects: <br /> <br />. Firehouse Office Building, 1040 Davis Street. The Firehouse office building is near <br />completion and McNealy construction plans to move in to part of the building next <br />month. Additional tenants are being sought for the remaining space. <br /> <br />. Vila Cereja, 1045 MacArthur Boulevard. The work on exterior improvements to <br />Vila Cereja are underway. <br /> <br />. Suzuki, 517 Marina Boulevard. The proposed Suzuki car dealership is in plan <br />check review and moving forward with an expectation that the showroom will be <br />completed by Spring 2008. <br /> <br />. 14833 East 14th Street.
