Minute Order No. 2000-1, Matter of Dissolution of the City Council Airport Ad <br />Hoc Committee and Creation of and Appointments to a City Council Airport <br />Issues Committee (dissolves an "Ad Hoc" Committee and establishes a "Standing <br />Committee" focusing on a broader range of airport issues, including noise). <br />(1156/1215/1270) <br /> <br />The City Council: <br /> <br />(1) Dissolved the City Council Airport Ad Hoc Committee and <br /> <br />(2) Created and appointed Council Members Grant, Lothrop, and Nardine <br />to the City Council Airport Issues Committee through September 2000. <br /> <br />MlS/C Galvan and Glaze. Ayes: 6; Noes: 0; Absent: Lothrop <br /> <br />8. CITY COUNCIL COMMENTS <br /> <br />A. Council Member Loefller commented that the City moved into the New Year <br />without any major glitches as it related to Y2K concerns. He commended City <br />staff for the City Civic Center holiday decorations. <br /> <br />B. Mayor Young agreed with Council Member Loeffler and indicated staff should <br />take a photo of the City Christmas Tree and use it on next year's holiday cards. <br /> <br />9. CITY MANAGER'S REPORT AND COMMENTS <br /> <br />The City Manager thanked the Mayor for joining him and other staff members as they <br />worked at City Hall in anticipation ofY2K issues on New Year's Eve. <br /> <br />10. CONTINUED PUBLIC COMMENTS <br /> <br />Continued Public Comments is limited to the balance of speaker cards that have been <br />submitted to the City Clerk and any new speakers who have not been heard. <br />Comments will be limited to 5 minutes per speaker. <br /> <br />None <br />
