<br />Minutes - City of San Leandro City Council and <br />San Leandro Redevelopment Agency Joint Meeting - February 7, 2000 <br /> <br />Page 8 <br /> <br />Vice Mayor Galvan stated he, too, feels this is a wonderful project. He <br />commended staff and ABHOW for facilitating public participation and said <br />perhaps this process should be used as a model for future projects. He asked if <br />ABHOW will make the parking restrictions clear to the tenants and if they will <br />self-police the parking situation. <br /> <br />A representative from ABHOW indicated they will make sure the residents are <br />informed and will oversee the facility responsibly. <br /> <br />Council Member Glaze agreed with all of his colleagues' comments and agreed <br />that this process should be held up as a model for others. He feels this project is a <br />good use of Redevelopment Funds. He asked how the amount of contributions <br />from the Cherry City Development was determined. <br /> <br />Staff, in response to questions, gave a lengthy description of how the amount was <br />determined, based on purchase costs of land, etc. It was noted the $1 million loan <br />from the Redevelopment Agency is coming from the tax increment of the Cherry <br />City Project. It was also noted this will be a $9.1 million project. <br /> <br />Council Member Loeffler clarified that, if there are any significant changes to this <br />project, it will be brought back to the Redevelopment Agency for review. <br /> <br />The following Resolutions were then introduced: <br /> <br />Resolution No. 2000...1. (1120/1313-B) <br /> <br />M1S/C Loeffler and Lothrop.
