Vice Mayor Galvan voiced concerns about the quality of education in the San <br />Leandro Unified School District. <br /> <br />B. Council Member Glaze also commented on education issues in the community. He <br />indicated he feels that it needs to be a partnership between the Chamber of <br />Commerce, the City, and the Schools. <br /> <br />C. Council Member Loefller voiced similar concerns about the City's obligation to <br />bring the community together on the issue of education. <br /> <br />D. Council Member Lothrop commented on the struggle to bring the City Council <br />and School District together and the need to explore options for solutions. She <br />added that the City has to recognize its own difficulties in funding programs for <br />young people. <br />
