Reports on Intergovernmental Agencies <br /> <br />Council Member Lothrop commented on the recent Airport Noise Forum Meeting <br />and indicated the issue of expanding the group of participating cities was <br />discussed. She explained she has concerns that, to add new people to the table at <br />this juncture, when they are establishing guidelines for the Port of Oakland, would <br />complicate matters. She indicated she feels there are other avenues for the other <br />cities to explore. She indicated members of the Oakland Airport Community <br />Noise Management Forum were asked to go back to their respective cities and get <br />their response on this issue. <br /> <br />There was City Council consensus that no new member cities be added to the <br />existing Oakland Airport Community Noise Management Forum. <br /> <br />B. Reports on City Council Committees <br /> <br />1. City and San Leandro Unified School District Liaison Committee Meeting of <br />March 7, 2000. The City Council accepted the report provided in the <br />Agenda packet. <br /> <br />2. Finance Committee Meeting of March 8, 2000. The City Council accepted <br />the report provided in the Agenda packet. <br /> <br />Council Member Lothrop commented on the FY 2000-2001 Budget Strategies list <br />that was distributed and noted she didn't see any of the West San Leandro <br />Advisory Committee recommendations listed. She stated she would like to see a <br />study of truck traffic done, indicating her desire to accommodate businesses, but <br />being sensitive to residential neighborhoods. <br /> <br />The City Manager responded that Redevelopment staff will be presenting a Capital <br />Improvement Project list during the upcoming budget cycle and said other projects <br />are on the City's Capital Improvement Project list. <br />
