<br />Minutes - City of San Leandro City Council Meeting <br />April 17 , 2000 <br /> <br />Page 3 <br /> <br />4. PUBLIC COMMENTS <br /> <br />Public Comments are limited to 5 minutes per person, for a total time period of one <br />hour. When you address the City Council, you should fill out a speaker card and <br />submit it to the City Clerk so the order of speakers may be determined and an official <br />record of names and addresses obtained. The public is invited to make any comments <br />related to Agenda items, or other items of public interest, at this time. <br /> <br />A Richmond Marshall, 15014 Wengate, addressed the City Council stating he likes <br />the new microphones in the City Council Chambers and hopes once the City <br />Council Meetings are televised the City Council will arrive and start on time. He <br />continued by commenting on a joint meeting of the two school boards and the City <br />Council where joint-use agreements were discussed. He indicated the discussion <br />included a draft needs assessment. He stated he sees an item on the City Council <br />Agenda tonight calling for bids on two joint-use projects and thanked the City <br />Council for considering these items favorably tonight. <br /> <br />B. Bob Grazzini, 236 Begier Avenue, addressed the City Council in support of the <br />two items regarding joint-use projects for Dayton and Muir Middle Schools on the <br />Agenda this evening and urged the City Council to approve them. He stated he <br />hopes it doesn't take another three years to address additional sports facilities for <br />the community. <br /> <br />5. CITY COUNCIL REPORTS <br /> <br />A Reports on Intergovernmental Agencies <br /> <br />1. The Mayor reported on a meeting regarding transportation hosted by Senator <br />Don Perata on pending State legislation regarding congestion issues in the Bay <br />Area. <br /> <br />2. Council Member Lothrop reported on her attendance at the League of <br />California Cities Environmental Quality Policy Committee Meeting and <br />indicated the AB939 Task Force recommendations were adopted by the <br />League of California Cities. She does not have a Bill number at this point but <br />will convey that information when it is available. <br /> <br />B. Reports on City Council Committees <br /> <br />1. City and San Lorenzo Unified School District Liaison Committee Meeting of <br />April 4, 2000. The City Council accepted the report provided in the <br />Agenda packet. <br /> <br />2. Facilities Committee Meeting of April 11, 2000. Council Member Glaze <br />reported on the tour of the Library. <br />
