The City Manager, in response to comments made regarding East 14th Street, <br />indicated East 14th Street is a highway, and the City will be working with Caltrans <br />to address signal timing to see if it might help with the traffic concerns. <br /> <br />In response to concerns regarding the budget process, the City Manager indicated <br />there will be a presentation on Community Benefits and Community Promotions <br />during the City Council Work Session scheduled for June 12, 2000, and there will <br />be a Public Hearing on the budget on June 19,2000. <br /> <br />In response to Mr. Perez's remarks, the City Manager indicated the Police <br />Department will investigate the matters he brought forward. <br /> <br />The City Manager, in response to Mr. Rinett~ indicated the Chief Building Official <br />is checking into the matter; but, under the current zoning, there is very little that <br />can be done about changes in views for other residents or the size of the <br />development. Once the matter has been reviewed, there will be a report back to <br />the City Council. <br /> <br />5. CITY COUNCIL REPORTS <br /> <br />A. Reports on Intergovernmental Agencies <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />B. Reports on City Council Committees <br /> <br />1. Finance Committee Meeting of May 18, 2000. The City Council accepted <br />the report provided in the Agenda packet. <br /> <br />2. Finance Committee Meeting of May 24, 2000. The City Council accepted <br />the report provided in the Agenda packet. <br /> <br />3. Rules and Communications Committee Meeting of May 23, 2000. Tbe City <br />Council accepted the report provided in the Agenda packet. <br /> <br />Council Member Loeffler commented in more detail about the CATV <br />discussion regarding televising City Council Meetings and indicated the City <br />would have to invest in four miles of fiber optics, which would cost <br />approximately $120,000. He commented further on the Cable franchise tax fee <br />and suggested perhaps there may be some creative ways in which to use those <br />funds. <br />
