PUBLIC HEARINGS - CITY COUNCIL om y <br /> <br />Public Hearing Comments are limited to 5 minutes per person. When you address the <br />City Council, you should fill out a speaker card and submit it to the City Clerk so the <br />order of speakers may be determined and an official record of names and addresses <br />obtained. <br /> <br />A Matter ofImposing Liens for Non-Payment of Delinquent City Service Charges <br />(authorizes the City to forward tax liens to Alameda County for assessment on the <br />2000-2001 tax rolls for unpaid, delinquent charges). <br /> <br />This being the time and place for the Public Hearing on the above matter, Mike <br />White, Assistant Finance Director, gave the staff report. <br /> <br />The Hearing was then opened to the public. <br /> <br />Mary E. Padden, 213 East Bay Front, Balboa Island, Regarding 1629 <br />Doolittle Drive, addressed the City Council regarding her property, indicating she <br />was not given the appropriate notice. <br /> <br />There being no further comments from the public, and without opposition, the <br />Public Hearing was closed. <br /> <br />Council discussion ensued regarding removing the Doolittle property from the <br />Weed Abatement list and a possible policy to allow the City Council to pursue <br />terminating sewer service on accounts, such as Will's Family Favorites, who do <br />not pay their sewer bills. It was also recommended the City Council Finance <br />Committee look at the issue of adjusting delinquency charges. <br /> <br />The following Resolutions were then introduced: <br /> <br />Resolution No. 2000-105, Resolution Overruling Protests Related to Liens for <br />Non-Payment of Delinquent Sewer/Refuse Service Charges, Business License <br />Fees, and Weed Abatement Charges. (1078/1221/1203/1197) <br /> <br />M/S/C Galvan and Loeffler. Ayes: 7; Noes: 0 <br /> <br />Resolution No. 2000-106, Resolution Confirming Reports of the Finance <br />Director Imposing Liens for Non-Payment of Delinquent Sewer/Refuse Service <br />Charges, List No. 2000-1; Business License Fees, List No. 2000-2; and Weed <br />Abatement Charges, List No. 2000-3. As amended, removing 1629 Doolittle <br />Drive from the Weed Abatement Charges, List No. 2000-3. <br />(1078/1221/1203/1197) <br /> <br />M/S/C Galvan and Loeffler. Ayes: 7; Noes: 0 <br />
